The following are two quotations from “The Song of the Lark” by Willa Cather that were noted as favorites by some of those in attendance at our meeting on April 25.

“... she’s as stupid as an owl and as coarse as a pig ...”

“... I kept running into them, old boys I hadn’t seen for years, thin at the part and thick at the girth ...” (bold font added for emphasis)

Those in attendance included Tim Thurman, Jan Carter, John Rasmus, Tom Brown and Clif Hostetler. [Low attendance number but high in quality and enthusiasm]
